Okay, I'm going to admit it... I HATE working out. That is probably why I became fat. I look nothing like the models on the box or the cheerful players you see when the "game" starts up. Basically, I'm miserable most of the time while completing these exercises. However... I really do want to get into better shape and would like a group of people, like me, who don't really enjoy exercising, but feel it is in their best interest to do so.
Anyway, I'm currently on phase 2 of the 9 week program (easy) and like to shout curse words at the screen when the sensors don't read my activities. I need more motivation than cursing at a virtual person to quit forcing me to do extra squats. Or to "Try Harder" next time, despite beating them in a running race. Or that I should take a water break, light speed, as the game switches between one torture session to the next... but I digress.
I'm an elementary school teacher and feel that I have no excuse to not get a bit healthier this summer... Anyway, if you want to workout, but enjoy complaining about how much you dislike it, this is the group for you! I'm sick of all the little gym rats who enjoy being winded, overheated, and sore (with shaky muscles). Having people to gripe with actually makes me want to complete each program. MiseryLovesCompany was my first choice for a group name, but it was too long.
If you'd like to join this group -- here are the details:
Group Name: Snarkers
Password: qazx
Platform: ps3|||Just adding this minor complaint:
I hate squatting and lunging. My knees, even with braces, feel like I'm tearing them up inside whenever I try to have "proper" form. Half the time I feel like I'm cheating because I'm not dipping down low enough... but it is way too uncomfortable to go further.
I wish this game would let us skip painful, not merely uncomfortable, exercises AND replace them with something else. Anyway, yeah. Squats and lunges suck majorly.
Adding in... I wish this program didn't target one section of the body so hardcore on certain days. Honestly, I can only take so many lunges and squats in one darn workout. Spead the love - equal amounts of upper and lower body each day! UGH.
