New Wii group losing 10 and 40 lbs by May 2011

This group is for motivated people who are committed to working out with EA Active at least 3 - 4 days a week. We are going to post stats weekly. We can also possibly to a biggest loser contest.
I'm 5'2", 172.2 lbs and looking to lose weight (first goal 10 - 15 lbs) and get fit by May 2011. I'm committed and looking for others who are committed that way we can motivate each other.
I purchased Wii EA Active 2, on Mon Jan 10. i tried it out on Monday and Tuesday and loved it. I mainly focused on the step program the past two days and they wore me out. I'm ready to begin my journey and would like to help motivate others. I'm starting the 9 week program today. If you want to join feel free.

I joined this group and I am super excited about the motivation and support. I am 5.5 1/2 and almost 170 pounds...only 8 pounds shy of my heaviest with my second child :) My goal weight is 125 - 130 so I have 40 pounds to drop and I hope that this group helps me reach my goal!
I also started weight watchers online on Monday to help with my eating habits. I started my first work out yesterday - 9 week - moderate - and will do the second one tomorrow. I am having trouble with my workout posting to group page and reading some movements but over all I am happy and can't wait to see results and get to know the members of this group!

|||Hello,
I would like to join this group to keep motivated. I am 5'3 currently 157 pounds. I got EA sports active for Christmas and started the program on Jan 3rd. So far I have lost 2 pounds. I would like to get down to between 122-128 so i have about 30 pounds to lose. I would like to lose the weight by May since I will be graduating from law school then. Currently I have completed 6 workouts. I normally weigh myself on Sunday or Monday so I look forwarding to checking in and seeing how much progress everyone is making!|||Welcome all,
Thanks for joining the group.
It's kind of hard navigating through all of the threads on the forum to find this one. So I am going to create a new thread so that we can post our weekly stats. Tell us a little bit about what you did for the week and if you lost weight let us know how you did it so that we can adjust ourselves accordingly.
The new thread to post our stats is called: fitby0511 stats page. If you do a search on this term it should come up.
On this page we will post our stats on Friday's or Mondays.

GW: (goal weight)

I would like to lose another 10 pounds by mid 2011. Besides Wii Active 2, I also hula hoop every day for 30 minutes and work out on the eliptical 3 times a week.|||welcome schnoodle28. We're just starting.
I have to get to that point of regularly exercising 3 times a week at the gym. With the snow and all, I get off of work and go home, and just do the Wii for now. Have Fun with the group!|||Hi eboniee
Thanks, I am anxious to get started and it's always good to have a support group. The only reason I can go to the gym three times a week is that I am not working at this time. But even when i was working, I at least did my hula hoop for 30 minutes a day. It just makes me feel better when I take the time to work out.|||Hello, I am currently 112 kg and starting a health kick. Apart from biking and sailing I bought the game today.
How do I join the group?.
Cheers,
Stuart|||what platform are you guys using... wii?|||Hi there: I'm using the wii, but without the balance board. How about you?|||sorry, just saw noticed it IS wii platform....
uhm where to start..... I'm 31, from Texas, and need to desperately lose the 20 lbs I've gained in the past 2 years. I currently weight 170 lbs (my all time high!!) and need to go back my normal weight (150 lbs). So far I'm 3 days into the Cardio Kickstart on the Hard intensity. I totally recommend the Mountain Climber workout on Easy. It's pretty intense! I've started a 1200 calorie diet and hoping that it will make a difference. I love to workout but food is my all time weakness. :) Wish me luck!
Good luck to everyone and please let me know of any really good workouts on this program. I'm still pretty new to it all.
Daisy :)|||Hey folks!
I'm pretty thrilled with myself right now. This is the first time I've worked out in an unfortunate amount of time.
As a stay at home (and work from home) mother of a two year old, I'm lucky if I have time to use the bathroom in peace. I still have a little fleck of toenail polish on each big toe from my last pedicure in August!
But I got Active (the first one) last year and played around with it a bit. Tonight, I thought I'd give it a whirl to try the exercises with my daughter. She had a blast! She really liked dancing around to the music, and repeated all the "cheer words" from my trainer. (Which made me feel pretty fantastic!) Making this something I can do with my daughter instead of sneaking it in when she's asleep is much more doable! Hooray!
Stats... Ah. Not something I'm too thrilled about. I weigh 215 pounds. My goal right now is to weigh... less. I want to weigh so much less that the numbers are just intimidating. So I'm just going to say that I'd like to be down five pounds by the end of the month. Smaller goals means more successes, right?
I hope my differences from the rest of the group don't keep me out of the club (different version of Active, more to love (and lose!), etc.) This is a perfect start date for my new fitness goals!|||Hi, I'm new to the group as well. JuliQ, don't despair, I'm up there with you. I'm 42 yrs old, 5'8 and I currently weigh a jaw dropping 210 lbs. This is the largest I've ever been, and I'm NOT HAPPY!!! I've gained about 50-60lbs in the last three years, a combination of losing a job and staying home for 1 year, stopping any kind of regular exercise and my eating habits deteriorating significantly. I'm determined to get down to 150 lbs which is where I really belong, although I'm afraid that at my age I'll have to cut off a limb or two to get there. If I can lose 10-15lbs by May I'll be happy.
My son got me the Active 2 for Christmas and I've been working out for two weeks now. I don't do any other regular exercise other than walking, but I try to walk between 4-5 miles per day. I'm currently on day 3 of the Cardio workout at Medium and I'm planning on moving on to the 9 week workout at medium after that.
|||Welcome everyone!
Has the new thread started...because I have searched for it and can't find it....
|||Just got the Wii Active Sports 2 kit. Did one workout and loved it. I'm 5'2 and 188 lbs heaviest I've ever been with the birth of my 2nd child. I was 200lbs when he was born and dropped to 170lbs after the first 8 weeks (thanks for breastfeeding)
Breastfeeding is all done and I've slowly gone back to 188lbs and I REFUSE to be fat. I will be happy at 140lbs so I have almost 50lbs to lose.
Hoping joining this group will help keep me motivated. It's tough!! But I'm committed
