|||Hiya, I've joined you :)
I'm a 26 year old teacher origionally from the UK but now working as a primary teacher in Gran Canaria teaching primary 1 & 2 spanish children in English.
I've only just completed day 1 of the 3week challenge to get my fitness levels up first.
Here's to getting fit!!! :)|||Hello!
I have the first EA Sports Active and the More Workouts. I like doing this because it gives a variety of exercises.
I'm an instructional assistant at a middle school who is attending college online to get a degree and teach high school language arts. Do I still qualify? This just seemed like a really positive, upbeat group and that's what I need after a LOOOONG day of middle school drama.
I'm also doing the 3 week program and it has been pretty easy so far. I don't know if I can do the 9 week one at the same time...anyway. Keep up the good work, teachers! Your fitness will inspire your students...and me!|||Hi, I am a 5th grade teacher of 22 yrs from NYC. Need to get exercise on a regualr basis. WIth Lesson Plans to write and papers to grade, work makes it difficult. I am committed this year.|||Hi, I'm a 33 year old teacher in NJ and like you all have limited time to myself to exercise. I've been doing the EA Sports 2 for about 3/4 times a week. My goal is to lose around 10 pounds and tone up for the summer! This is my 2nd week of the 9 week challenge, so I hope to starting losing some pounds soon. I will be joining the group today - so see you online!|||I just had a right good giggle at my lack of co-ordination on the step aerobics! Trying to do that L step and despite stopping many a time and watching the woman and thinking I had it in my head as soon as I actually tried to do it in time with the steps my legs were all over the place!!
Oh well at least I've given my stomach muscles a wee workout from laughing so much :)|||HEY! I'm a second year teaching in columbus ohio! last week was week 1 of a biggest loser competition at my school for some of the teachers. I went out and bought the wii active game after a recommendation from my friend. I would love to join your group! :)|||I hope it works for you, you'll need to let us know how you get on in the competition each week - good luck!! :)|||Hey! I just joined this group. I'm a 25 year old high school math teacher at a charter school in Dallas, Texas. Every summer I get active and lose weight, and every school year the stress and hours get to me and I gain it all back, plus some. Since I'm the only high school math teacher for grades 10-12 (small school) I have a lot on my plate in terms of preparing kids for end of year standardized tests, plus teaching the curriculum and preparing them for college, the stress gets to me and I'm one of those luckies that gains weight with stress.
My goals are to drop from my current 155lbs (5'3" tall), back down to around 130lbs - my pre-teaching weight 4 years ago. Although I'm more interested in size over weight and want to be back in a size 6/7 instead of the 10/12 I'm wearing now.
Motivation would be GREAT - I need it. Although EA Active has kept me interested a LOT more than the Wii Fit did. I've got 1 week left on my 3-week program, and I'll be starting a 9-week program as soon as I'm done.
How about the rest of you?|||Hello & Welcome to Everyone!
I have been under the weather for a few days and wasn't able to workout or check for updates here. So my apologizes for not being active and for not replying sooner.
I am so happy to see each of you and can't wait to be 'grow' (not gain) with each of you. I am super excited and can't wait to get in the swing of things.
I encourage you to subscribe to this thread so that if it is ever hard to locate we can continue communicate!
Hope you all enjoy your long weekend!

I am more interested in size than weight as well. I say 130 but I really would like to be a six. I also just want to be healthier and happier. I know that being almost 170 at 5'5 and 32 years old isn't healthy and thus making me unhappy. Good luck and congrats with being almost done with the 3-week program. I am really ready to get into a routine. Hopefully the 'bug' is gone and I can get going. |||I hope you are able to get going soon too, Divyne31! I have found that I feel so much better now that I'm keeping a regular routine! I've also started a "sticker chart" for myself on my calendar (ha! that must be remnant from the two years of middle school teaching). I just love seeing how many little stickers I have accumulated on the calendar. I need to think of a reward for myself for earning a certain number of stickers. . . .
I've also given up soda, I've heard a lot of people say that soda led to increased weight loss. It's hard at work to be without soda but I've successfully completed two full weeks soda-free. Of course, I've found that my coffee intake has significantly increased since this decision (from 1 small cup p/day to about three) but I figure small steps. :)
The last time I went through major weight loss and managed to get down to a size 6 was right before teaching, and I succeeded by counting calories, exercising and having a LOT of support from an online community. I'm really hoping I can get there again so I hope you guys are ready for lots of posts from me because I like to stay connected!!|||I worked out for 41 minutes tonight!
I am not a soda drinker so that isn't a struggle but I have friends who have struggled with that so kuddos to you! I do need to increase my water intake in a major way. I don't drink enough period.
And I may have to put a chart up at school and home for water!
I hope that we all post a LOT! How many of you are Facebookers?
Maybe it would be easier to create a private group their to post and stay connected...just a thought...if anyone is interested I'll start it!
