Active 2 for Xbox - Group for Moms 30+

Hi! I just created a group for moms who are 30+ and using the XBOX Kinect. Feel free to join if you fit the profile. I am just looking for other moms to work out with.
Group name: Moms30plus
Pass: kiddos|||Hey Vicki,
I totally fit this profile. I'm thirty five with three kids. Gamertag: kapoleimom
I'm so excited about being able to join groups to increase my success. I've been on Weight Watchers and lost weight. I've gained back 2/3 of the weight I had lost. Now that my husband has dropped 100 lbs through bariatric surgery. I'd like to get fit and start practicing healthy lifestyles from this point in my life and beyond.
Thanks for creating this group!
Good luck with your workouts!
-Ginet :) :) :)|||Thanks for joining. I haven't worked out since 1994. I used to do VHS tapes. But now I am terribly out of shape.|||Howdy Ladies! Glad to find a group for Moms that is on the xbox :) I'm 35 with a 16 year old... I take Karate 3-5 times a week but I love food so I am hoping this helps out :) Sometimes I am not so motivated so a group thing will be awesome!!!
According to all the charts I'm probably about 60lbs overweight...blah! Need to lose that big time :)
Thanks for starting up the group :)|||Welcome! Hopefully we can find a few more moms who are using the Xbox version. What do you think so far???|||There's still room for more. |||So far I'm enjoying the heck out of it thanks!|||Hey ladies! My name is Lisa, I am 30 and have 2 boys. I am the biggest I've ever been and declare 2011 as the year I lose all this nasty fat! I just did my first EA Sports active 2 workout on the kinect and OMG, it kicked my butt! But I look forward to doing it daily so I can get fit! My gamer profile is mom2two.|||Hi Lisa. Join us! We'd love to have ya. |||Hi! Just started Active 2 yesterday but love it already! I am definitely interested in joining this group...soon as I figure out how!! lol I think this is great! Wish I would have known about it a long time ago!!! Support, companionship, and motivation are definitely significant keys to weightloss! I look forward to being of this group!|||

Looks like you figured it out! :) Welcome to the group! I tend to be on mine after the kid is in bed and the hubby is playing his games. |||I'd love to join this group. I'm 38 and have two boys, 5 and 2. My biggest problem is finding the time to work out, with working full-time. I am going to try getting up earlier and fitting it in before the kids wake up. There never seems to be amy time in the evenings. I've only worked out 3 times so far and aleady lost a few pounds, so I'm pretty excited. :)|||I would love to join this group - turned 32 last week, have an 18mo, and an 8 yo - - - my only workout time is naptime, but so far (today being day #1) it seemed to work out ok - - - that said, I am going to be SO sore tomorrow...
eta - as far as the xbox version - i was leery after reading some not so awesome reviews, but honestly, i am impressed with the program - it kicked my butt, and as long as i remember to start each exercise standing in the middle so it can track me, i have no issues :)
ok, i lied, i did cheat on my planks today, and got full credit for them :)|||hi im 41 yrsw old, a mom of 3, and very out of shape and overweight. My husband got ea for xmas and i decided to try it. i just completed my 3rd workout. im not quite sure how these groups work but i think im joining it. LOL! i dont know what this group does but i fit the description. i dont have a gold membership so i dont think i can do anything online while working out|||Hi Mom360
The groups pretty much give us a little encouragement, especially for the competitive types (which I am not). But by being somewhat accountable to each other and ourselves, hopefully we can stick to it. And you can add other group members as friends on Xbox, if you like, then we can send messages to each other or maybe even plan to be on at the same time. There's no real interaction directly on the game, but we can encourage each other. We need to keep the momentum going beyond February (when most people give up on the New Years resolutions)
I am very new to Xbox, so I am not an expert, but my hubby plays other games so he hleps me figure out this stuff.
Oh, and you don't need a Gold account. As far as I can figure out, the Gold account is useful for stuff like using facebook, twitter and special download content, but I am honestly not sure. The free silver account is fine for this game.
