|||Hi Kmacc!
I have joined this group! :)|||I just joined, too. I'm getting ready to do my second workout. I'm starting with the 3 week cardio workout. I did the first one yesteday on easy, I think I'll move it to medium today. I only burned 85 calories yesterday!|||I just joined your group as well. Mixing this in with a bit of Body for Life|||I joined too. Did my 1st workout tonight. Think I will buy some dumbells as the resistance band is kind of flimsy. But other than that.....enjoyed it!|||Hi everyone, I've just joined!
I am on a 9 week program, and just completed my first workout day and first rest day. I rarely work out these day, so hope to be more active with the group :)|||Hi Everyone! I am very new to everything...Active 2 and using a forum/online group! LOL! I am starting the 9 week program as well my first workout is tomorrow. I also have started a weight loss support/challenge group that kicks off tomorrow as well. I am hoping to lose 30 lbs! Wish me luck! Any tips will help :)|||Hey people. I am new to the Active 2 scene. Just received it as a late Christmas gift and went through the setup process tonight. I can't wait! This thing looks great!
Anyway I joined this group and selected to start the 9 week program. My first workout will be tomorrow morning so I am stoked. Got a TON of weight to lose!! :)|||Good Luck shivatrance! We both start tomorrow! Good luck? How much you looking to loose? I am aiming for 30! Good Luck I know you can do it :)|||Hey guys! I just joined, hope you don't mind. I'm not totally sure how this all works, but my live account os under RunninBarefoot ( my husbands account) and my name in here is lilred238, but you all can call me Meaghan or Red! I am 31 and am looking to loose about 20 lbs or so. I started the 9 week program last week and am also spinning a few days a week.
So how has everyone been doing so far?
Meag|||Ok, guess I didn't join. It doesn't show any of you guys in my group. Good luck to you all though!
Meag|||hi everyone! i got the EASA2 for xmas and just did my 1st workout tonight. it was great... i hope i can keep it up! i'd like to join this PS3 group, but i'm not sure how... can someone tell me where to find/join the workout groups?
thanks! looking forward to motivating each other!|||Hi Everyone! Hope everyone is doing great! I am a little frustrated with this active 2 maybe some of you can help me seen as I can find any of the answers myself. The first night I tried the game my sensors kept blinking and glitching out on me 3/4 of the way through the workout (GRRRR) and then I did the workout again today and this time the sensors didn't bink but it didn't recognize my movement about 3/4 of the way through the workout! So this far along I am not so impressed with this latest technology! HELP!|||Sugarmama:
No idea what is going on there. I would recommend just exchanging it for a new one from wherever it was purchased. As for it not recognizing your movements I have found that the best practice before every exercise is to take the same stance as the trainer on the screen. I think that the sensors seem to sync up in your current position at that point and then it is from there that they judge your movements. If you start off slouching or hands on your knees or something like that then the system is going to just the sensors as to where they are at that time for where they are then going forward through the exercise for movement tracking. See if that helps.
I have P90X as well and I have to say that the workouts on the Active 2 are just really great half hour versions of that. I can't believe how great this program is and I am constantly talking about it at work now.|||Hi sugarmama,
I bumped into a similar problem on my 3rd workout day. I unplug then plug back the USB receiver to force re-registering the sensors. The stall went away and things get moving after the re-sync.
How's everyone doing?
This is my new toy and I am still exploring :)
I felt very sore after the first and second workout day, but I start to get used to it day by day. Making progress, yeah!
About the Journal Website, it appears to me that EA's web team still gets a lot of work left off the plate. Hello, my new friend :)

I just got my PS3 and EA Active so I'm super excited! I already worked out 2 days using the system and I feel sore. I'm also trying to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet for a more healthy lifestyle. I realize that the weight I need to lose is not going to happen over night. This is a lifestyle choice.
I'll be on my Station later on tonight.
PSN: TexasLUX|||Hi everyone!

psn id WelshWarriorNO1|||Hey guys,
Just did day two of the Cardio Plan and my legs are dying a slow death but feels really good.
Was wondering how you can get people from the group to workout with you.... I presume that you have to have people online and doing the same plan but then do you just do the workout with a friend of invite people? the manual is rubbish at giving any info...
Have fun this evening whoever is working out

New PS3 group for IT people
Hi I'm Branden and I'm new to Active 2. I work as a TPF Coverage person for HP and after 3 years on the job Im ready for a lifestyle change. So I picked up this game and I create a group called ItCrowd (password: itcrowd). This group is for anyone that has to sit at a desk for 8+ hours everyday. I hope to use this group as a motivation tool for myself and others who join my group. For working on a 24/7 coverage desk my hours are pretty crazy so I found it hard in the past to keep a good routine when comes to working out. And this group is here for anybody that is in the same boat as me. Hopefully together we will keep each one of us motivated in the months (and years) to come. Thanks for your time.

|||I joined up today, I'm a Sr. Network Engineer in South Georgia. Looking forward to combating the unfortunate side effects of too much time behind the keyboard and WAY too much Mt Dew! :)
Mike|||I joined; just finished phase 1 of the 9 week program and feeling it. I too have a Mt. Dew weakness... =)|||I haven't started the programs yet. I've had the game for 3 days and have just been doing the trainer built workouts each day so far. I managed to complete a 15 minute workout the day I brought it home, 30 minutes the day after, and yesterday I completed a 45 minute workout. I'll probably start the 9-week either Sunday or Monday. Any suggestions on exercises to work on over the next couple days to make starting the program a bit easier?
Mike|||I just jumped right into the 9 Week Program. I was pretty sore after the second workout. After two days rest I can finally use my legs again.|||Hi Branden, Thanks for setting up the group, I work in eCommerce in the UK, and am also new to EA Active, I've done a couple of workouts over the weekend and then the 9 week program starts tomorrow!|||Hello! Just joined your group! I do the tech support and manage the purchase, support, maintenance of anything IT/AV/SIM related for a medical school.
I am not new to EASportsActive, i've tried the first one, on Wii a year or more ago, and i just bought the 2 for my PS3 today! Will get into my first workout later tonite!
Most days i get my fair share of walking around the office, and walking to and from work (or cycling when it's nice out) but i need more to stay in shape, and it wouldn't hurt to motivate myself to eat better too !
|||way to go everybody we are all doing a GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! This sure hurts but is really lots of fun.|||One week into the 9 week workout now. First impressions are that I'm very impressed, I'm not one to go to the gym but if I did I would never get such a varied workout as Active 2 without guidance.
However that said I am getting slightly frustrated with the leg sensor, it seems for the first 4 or so excercises of each workout I do it keeps cutting out and then reconnecting, which is very frustrating as I have to keep pushing start on the controller to continue, but after the first few excercises it seems to be fine going forward.
Also using the fatsecret website to monitor my calorie intake. Which is great for the inner geek as it has an android app which includes the ability to scan barcodes of what you're eating.
On with week 2 Monday|||
it scans the barcode to catalog the food intake or just to give you the info ? i'm guessing the first, since just giving you the dry info is already on most products anyway.
also : no barcodes on fruits :)|||Yes it scans it to auto enter it into a food diary. You can also manually search for food (such as fruit :) ) .
Also it has many popular resturant dishes in it, though some of the time I'm slightly sceptical as to how precise it is.|||For restaurants i use "Restaurant Calorie Counter for Dummies" although i'm on iPhone, so i don't know if there's an Android version.
|||
@CharlesRB: I've noticed similar things as well, although I've attributed it to the heart-rate monitor. It seems that if the batteries are low in the heart-rate monitor then the heart-rate reading jumps around a bit (+/-10 bpm); if this is happening I get frequent disconnects. Once I replace the batteries the reading is solid (+/- 2 bpm) and no disconnections. Anyway, that's my own experience. Please post any solutions you find...|||Week 2 complete, still having issues with the leg attachment connecting but to be honest haven't got round to trying new batteries, - though its very odd that its for the first few excercises only. If it were battery related I would have expectied it to fade in and out all the time.
Otherwise going fairly well, getting into a routine now. Finding some of the excercises like skipping, I end up jumping double the times than necessary as the characther on the screen keeps missing the rope, but I suppose its all good for me!
Also dieting and with a combination of the two have lost 2.1kg this week, though first week so next week will be the real test (not sure how much this week was due to an empty stomach in the morning! Seem to have put half back on by the end of the day!
Hope everyone else is doing well

XBox 360 Workout Group for People Who Just Want to Be Healthy
Hey guys,
Recently, I was diagnosed with borderline diabetes and have to modify my lifestyle, as well as take medication for it. I used to be active, but haven't been able to be in a while because of a shoulder injury. I'm finally starting to heal, so I bought this game to get back into shape. I looked around at some of the groups, and they were either pretty specific or competitive for the most part. I'm just looking for some people who want to join a supportive, fun group where everyone can go at their own pace. I know having people to talk to about goals and progress can help people stick to their lifestyle modifications, and I need all the help I can get. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks.

Wii NFL Active
Started new NFL group for Wii users (rest of the NFL Active groups seem full or full of inactive members).
I enjoy comparing stats as a motivational tool for myself, so am hoping to find a group of other members who play regularly. I welcome users of any of age, gender, etc... No restrictions on level or draft "round" either; just have fun!
Group name is WiiNFL, password is also WiiNFL.

Have some problems with the sensors on goaltenting so I miss a couple of shots but still make the right moves so isn't that big of a problem and there is also some sensorproblems on the skiproap so it takes some time longer to complete it. But there most likely to come a update at one time.
So where are you guys from? :)

Have some problems with the sensors on goaltenting so I miss a couple of shots but still make the right moves so isn't that big of a problem and there is also some sensorproblems on the skiproap so it takes some time longer to complete it. But there most likely to come a update at one time.
So where are you guys from? :)

|||Hiya, I've joined you :)
I'm a 26 year old teacher origionally from the UK but now working as a primary teacher in Gran Canaria teaching primary 1 & 2 spanish children in English.
I've only just completed day 1 of the 3week challenge to get my fitness levels up first.
Here's to getting fit!!! :)|||Hello!
I have the first EA Sports Active and the More Workouts. I like doing this because it gives a variety of exercises.
I'm an instructional assistant at a middle school who is attending college online to get a degree and teach high school language arts. Do I still qualify? This just seemed like a really positive, upbeat group and that's what I need after a LOOOONG day of middle school drama.
I'm also doing the 3 week program and it has been pretty easy so far. I don't know if I can do the 9 week one at the same time...anyway. Keep up the good work, teachers! Your fitness will inspire your students...and me!|||Hi, I am a 5th grade teacher of 22 yrs from NYC. Need to get exercise on a regualr basis. WIth Lesson Plans to write and papers to grade, work makes it difficult. I am committed this year.|||Hi, I'm a 33 year old teacher in NJ and like you all have limited time to myself to exercise. I've been doing the EA Sports 2 for about 3/4 times a week. My goal is to lose around 10 pounds and tone up for the summer! This is my 2nd week of the 9 week challenge, so I hope to starting losing some pounds soon. I will be joining the group today - so see you online!|||I just had a right good giggle at my lack of co-ordination on the step aerobics! Trying to do that L step and despite stopping many a time and watching the woman and thinking I had it in my head as soon as I actually tried to do it in time with the steps my legs were all over the place!!
Oh well at least I've given my stomach muscles a wee workout from laughing so much :)|||HEY! I'm a second year teaching in columbus ohio! last week was week 1 of a biggest loser competition at my school for some of the teachers. I went out and bought the wii active game after a recommendation from my friend. I would love to join your group! :)|||I hope it works for you, you'll need to let us know how you get on in the competition each week - good luck!! :)|||Hey! I just joined this group. I'm a 25 year old high school math teacher at a charter school in Dallas, Texas. Every summer I get active and lose weight, and every school year the stress and hours get to me and I gain it all back, plus some. Since I'm the only high school math teacher for grades 10-12 (small school) I have a lot on my plate in terms of preparing kids for end of year standardized tests, plus teaching the curriculum and preparing them for college, the stress gets to me and I'm one of those luckies that gains weight with stress.
My goals are to drop from my current 155lbs (5'3" tall), back down to around 130lbs - my pre-teaching weight 4 years ago. Although I'm more interested in size over weight and want to be back in a size 6/7 instead of the 10/12 I'm wearing now.
Motivation would be GREAT - I need it. Although EA Active has kept me interested a LOT more than the Wii Fit did. I've got 1 week left on my 3-week program, and I'll be starting a 9-week program as soon as I'm done.
How about the rest of you?|||Hello & Welcome to Everyone!
I have been under the weather for a few days and wasn't able to workout or check for updates here. So my apologizes for not being active and for not replying sooner.
I am so happy to see each of you and can't wait to be 'grow' (not gain) with each of you. I am super excited and can't wait to get in the swing of things.
I encourage you to subscribe to this thread so that if it is ever hard to locate we can continue communicate!
Hope you all enjoy your long weekend! |||Hello & Welcome to Everyone!

I am more interested in size than weight as well. I say 130 but I really would like to be a six. I also just want to be healthier and happier. I know that being almost 170 at 5'5 and 32 years old isn't healthy and thus making me unhappy. Good luck and congrats with being almost done with the 3-week program. I am really ready to get into a routine. Hopefully the 'bug' is gone and I can get going. |||I hope you are able to get going soon too, Divyne31! I have found that I feel so much better now that I'm keeping a regular routine! I've also started a "sticker chart" for myself on my calendar (ha! that must be remnant from the two years of middle school teaching). I just love seeing how many little stickers I have accumulated on the calendar. I need to think of a reward for myself for earning a certain number of stickers. . . .
I've also given up soda, I've heard a lot of people say that soda led to increased weight loss. It's hard at work to be without soda but I've successfully completed two full weeks soda-free. Of course, I've found that my coffee intake has significantly increased since this decision (from 1 small cup p/day to about three) but I figure small steps. :)
The last time I went through major weight loss and managed to get down to a size 6 was right before teaching, and I succeeded by counting calories, exercising and having a LOT of support from an online community. I'm really hoping I can get there again so I hope you guys are ready for lots of posts from me because I like to stay connected!!|||I worked out for 41 minutes tonight!
I am not a soda drinker so that isn't a struggle but I have friends who have struggled with that so kuddos to you! I do need to increase my water intake in a major way. I don't drink enough period.
And I may have to put a chart up at school and home for water!
I hope that we all post a LOT! How many of you are Facebookers?
Maybe it would be easier to create a private group their to post and stay connected...just a thought...if anyone is interested I'll start it!|||

I totally understand! I have all the above and I'm taking 2 courses in preparation to take the certification exam for my license in admin. BUT I have to take care of me first! Good luck!

Wii Workout Group
Hello everyone!
Just finished my first session with EA Sports Active 2 for the Wii and wanted to join a group to keep some motivation and competition into it. I've been pretty busy since I've recently graduated from a university, gotten a new puppy, and started a new job. I had to cut gym membership because the dog can't be trusted to be by himself too long. I began my workout today with the 9 week program on the hard level.
Well that's my story, so here's the group info:

|||Hey Avengers,
I am getting the hang of this forum, and I think I was able to match my ES persona to what appears as my persona on EASA2. I was showing up as baggio199, but now it should now be under my persona called MANC2010.
Look forward to seeing the Avengers rack up the milestones.
Thanks, Mario|||Hey guys, Ill try this again. I tried to join one before and the user and pass didn't work. Wish me luck! Michelle|||Last two days I have done workouts but last week I missed four :) . Rough week. I tried to make one up and then it said I didn't work out on the 29th and I did. What? Not sure if it will ever stop "encouraging me" by saying I missed those workouts. I am SO sore! We have vacation starting Thursday, as of right now we are planning to take the wii with us. Shoot, it's not like it takes up a lot of space. Good luck guys!! Stay with it!|||This is my 2nd time with the 9 week challenge. I'll join in a bit.
I tend to lose my motivation about half way through, so hopefully this group will help!|||We try to encourage eachother, my fiance and I. I am loving Active 2! I have a muscle and am sore all the time but I know it's because I'm sculpting my body and that makes it okay. Good luck!

I did the EA Sports Training Day with my husband for 60 days and we loved it but I needed something new and this workout seems to be it- more cardio than training day. Look forward to working out with a group.|||Sounds great! I've never done the hard.. I can barely get through the Medium!!, even tho I do a custom 30 minute step workout afterwards.. :)|||I need to lose a good 30 lbs but I think that training day has built enough muscle to help me get through. I did tell my daughter that I might die...lol She is 9 and after doing the last 5 minutes with me she did the whole workout. She did not have a drop of sweat and her skin was glowing...to be 9 again.|||What is the training day you mentioned? I just have the ea sports active 2 so am fairly new to all of this- we just started the 9 wk program bc it was the only option we saw other than cardio ..|||Its the NFL training day - I got it for my husband. I thought it was a good way to get us to workout together. Its a lot of squats and lunges. I told him I wasnt going to fit into my jeans much longer due to my thighs getting muscular. It really wasnt that bad but the active is more my cup of tea. I tried to get my sister to start up with me so I am glad I have someone to keep up with on our training good luck!|||Just joined the group :) Started the 9 week medium program 1 week ago.|||Yay! We're in the same boat.|||:) just joined|||I started the nine week program the day I got the game and at hard intensity. It's an awesome workout, and I believe in getting the most out of my workout when I'm able to set aside the time to do it. I'm having a lot of fun with this exercise game! I just connected it with my computer and am keeping my eyes open for a group to join! :)

40-somethings With A Lot to Lose!!
Are you in your 40s? Have a lot of weight to lose? I am thinking of starting a group for support and a few laughs!
1) Discuss the program (EA Sports Active) in general and specific issues with or about the program. For example, did you just learn to do something new in the program and want to share it?
2) Questions about the program. For example, "does anyone know how to . . . .?"
3) Discuss your weight and health situation and your goals.
4) Discuss dieting (or not dieting).
5) Share creative ways you've come up with to make exercising more fun and rewarding.
If you are serious about discussing EA Active and your get-fit plan, then this new group would be good for you. Let me know by responding to this post. If there is enough interest, I'll create a group.
I would especially like chatting to others in Maryland, but I didn't want to narrow the parameters too much!

Looking for women who are in their 20s and looking to get fit! Join for the challenge, the support, and exercise & food advice!

Just joined your group because I really need some help getting focused lately! I'm starting vet school in a month and need to make this healthy lifestyle thing back into a habit before then or it'll never happen! I don't know what happened, but I think spending a week in DisneyWorld with my family for my birthday started me on a downward spiral of enjoying food way too much and I've put on 10 lbs. again. My goal is to take off 20 so I can feel really good again, get my cardio back into existence, and start refocusing all that emotional/bored eating I've been doing.
Looking forward to keeping up with you all! I just did my first workout in forever today and it kicked my butt on the lower body. It was worth it though, now I feel ready to tackle the day. Have a great Wednesday everyone!|||Welcome ditvet! I know what you mean, I'm definately an emotional eater. Stress is the main reason why I love food sooo much! I love that sports active asks you about veggie servings/day because I find it motivates me to eat more just so my results in the journals dont look so pathetic! lol Happy workouts everyone!|||We still have room for more members!

I love that sports active asks you about veggie servings/day because I find it motivates me to eat more just so my results in the journals dont look so pathetic! lol Happy workouts everyone!|||We still have room for more members!

A Little About Me: I am in the middle of my cardio kick start program right now
I'm a 30 year old male living in Michigan, I have had problems with my weight for a long time it feels like a roller coaster ride. I will take weight off and then gain it back. I am new to ea sports active, I started it about a week ago and eating healthy. I have close to 100 lbs to loose before im happy. I tend to be pretty competitive so i'm hoping this will help keep me motivated. I used to run track in high school and I would someday be able to be in as good shape as I was back then.|||Hi,
I'm Tali I'm 26 and a grad student. I recently gained 30 pounds within a few months :)
I weigh 200 and am trying to get down to around 150. My intermediate goal is 185 in 10 weeks.
Hope this group and EA active 2 can keep me motivated

lo|||Just joined your group. Trying to get my body fat percentage down from around 20% to 15%. I know it's more about eating correctly, but doing the program is a big part as well. Just started the the cardio kick off program (2 days) before going on to the next level.
I'm 6' around 185 and in good shape, but can always work on the abs and tightening/slimming down the waist.
Can't wait to workout out together :)
I also setup a group called:

Wii Active 2 Group - Tone up to look good in that New Years Eve outfit :)
Hello,
I just started the 9 week program but my immediate goal is to tone up before New Years Eve so my arms don't jiggle so much when I dance.
My long term goal is to loose the muffin top and about 30 pounds.
I am 43 and am quickly realizing how difficult it is to stay in shape as you get older. How easy it is for family or work to take presidence over working out. I need motivation and accountability!
Please join this group so we can help each other stay on track.

Recorded weight = 175 - Goal 145|||OK, got back to my workouts today, had a friends wedding yesterday, got my hair done in the morning (so I couldn't get sweaty :), so didin't get my workout in.
Couldn't wait to get back at it today, so I'm obsessing again, waiting to maybe do another tonight, but . . .
I'm always trying to push past my last workout, but I'm SUPER motivated by friends working at the same goal, so watch out! :)
Can't remember if I introduced myself earlier, 56, 5' 2", mother of three grown boys, one married. Menopause and thyroid and the weight has skyrocketed, taking care of them and now with the EA Active series the weight is pouring off. And it's FUN, not boring like some of the others I've tried. And now wireless and practically nothing in my hand!
Janice|||Hi all!!
I have recently got my Wii sports active 2 and thought I would log on and see what these groups are all about! I thought that New Year seemed like a good goal to really stick to it................
I have been with wii sports active since the first version, through the second disk and then to this. In just over a year I have slimmed down to a UK size 6-8 from a UK size 14. I put this down to the positive effects of this program, which also motivated me to eat more healthily :)
GOod luck to all - stick with it...... I am using mine to maintain my weight (as I find it easy to put weight on - due to my medical condition) and I am going dress shopping next week and want to be in a size 8!!!

Weight Loss Workout - advice needed.
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on working out to gain weight loss.
I am doing the 9 week course on high which is giving me a great work out but i dont think i am doing the right workouts to gain weight loss. At what zone do i need to be working out at to lose the weight and how do i change my workouts. My colleague at work mentioned about controling my breathing to lower my heart rate, is that correct?
Any other advice is welcome.
Thanks
Emma

New York City Workout Group for PS3
Hi All,
I just created a workout group for any NYC athletes or anyone who would like to join in losing weight and/or burning calories. I'm the only one in it right now but all are welcome to join:
Group Name: NYCFIT
Password: workout|||Just stopping by to give a shout out to a fellow New York City resident (Live in Brooklyn, Work in Manhattan). Can't join your group because I'm a Mii with a Wii.
Good luck to you. It may take a while to get a group together. Go to EASA's Facebook page (EA Sports Active) and put out a call if you haven't done that already.

xbox 360 Group Formed
Hi all!
I have just formed a new group. It is called SHAPEUP and the password is fitness.
I am turning 40 next week and want to shape up and slim down. I am excited about this game and I am looking forward to sharing success stories.
Let's have some fun and keep each other motivated.
KariCPA|||Just joined the Ative 2 family and just joined your group Shapeup. Look forward to seeing some results!!|||Joined! I'm stewietrouble.|||Good Job Kari!!
Leading the board so far.
Cant wait to get out of work and start posting some numbers myself.|||Does it automatically post to your groups when you work out?|||Not sure. I woke up extra early today to set up my account. I actually worked out on Monday using this but it didn't record since I hadn't set up my account at the time. But I'm just counting down the minutes until I'm able to unleash my energy tonight!!|||I have used the game for the past two days and feel it in my legs. I will be getting up extra early tomorrow so I can work out before my girls weekend away. I'll need to work super hard on Monday to make up for the weekend. Usually, the only thing that gets lighter during girls weekend is my pocketbook!
I'm glad the group is growing. I hope we can keep each other motivated and going strong.
I tried to see if we could send messages through the group page but I couldn't see it. I think we need to friend one another to do that. Are you all game to adding friends?
Kari|||Sweet a group! I'm excited to join up and doing this!|||Great! just joined the group! Im also trying to slim down.|||Great! I just joined the group!|||Finally posted some numbers last night. I ate some protein right after my work out to help my muscles recover. Feeling good about this already! Best part is I'm not feeling too sore today so hopefully I'll be able to do a couple aggressive work outs tonight.
Kari I sent you a friend request, I'm ok with everyone friend-ing me. Were all here for the same thing. Let's hit that 1,000 calories burned mark!|||Just joined, hit the 1000 calorie mark today woohoo! 4 workouts on the 9 week schedule complete and I gotta say I hate split squat repeats argh! Fun workout!!|||As far as any issues I've luckily had very little problems except for the "Show Me" pop-up several times, thought it might be the voice control, but I can't figure out how to turn voice off, I know you can. I am beginning to think tho that when you start to get tired and do the move incorrectly repeatedly it will pop up. Also getting better at the bike trail, for climbing the hill I found it best to make sure you're a good distance from kinect and to really get the high knees up after doing this I've had no pauses or slow downs in biking speed.|||thankfully the EA servers seem to be running again. Still missing many stats.
None the less, even with numerous glitches and problems attached to this game I'm still managing to get my work outs done one way or another.
Tried the boxing the other day, wow I Love it!|||thankfully the EA servers seem to be running again. Still missing many stats.

"READY2GO" Open Group for EA Sports Active 2 (PS3)
Hello my Active Community! I have created my own fitness group, called 'READY2GO' & all individuals are welcome to join. I've given this group that title because I personally, as well as many others I feel it's safe to say, are tired of making excuses to put off exercising & making better life choices, both physical & beyond, & in order to break this bad habit, we need to be READY 2 GO & get the job done.
First we must be ready mentally, so that we can honestly 'address' the tough choices we each need to make, 'commit' to addressing them & then 'follow through' with accomplishing them over time. Secondly & just as honestly as before, we need to watch our progress & adapt as time rolls on, which makes EA Sport Active 2 such a great help, because it does just that, with the exception that we still need to be the final judge of how we feel & whether or not we need to kick it up or down a notch to reach our goals appropriately, safely & while having a good time!
Of course there will be days here & there where we want to skip a workout or pig out, but as a community we can work together & help each other in accomplishing such feats, which is what I would love all groups, including mine to embrace.
I plan to workout consistently & welcome anyone, whether a pro or newcomer to this game or just exercise in general, to join me & create a group with a goal in the process, a goal that can & will be reached, as individuals & as part of a larger community! I look forward to working...out =) with you all!

I'm happy to join your group especially as it's a UK one.
I am giving the 9 week workout a go as I did this several times on the previous two games. I will take a look at the Cardio kick start as well.
|||Hi
I'm in !!
STarting off on the kickstart as had a few weeks break from EA more workouts but I may just step it up to the 9 week challenge before it ends.
Gutting that the workouts I did before joining the group don't show up :)|||Welcome guys. Lets go for it|||Hi i have just joined iam hoping to lose about 70 pounds in total|||Hi,
Any thoughts on the new version?
It seems to me doing the 9 week workout that a lot of the exercises are the same but with new names and in a different setting. The Mountain Biking on hard is a killer though, especially for the second time in a workout!
I do like that there is a group to talk to and that I all my activites are saved online, it gives a bit more encouragement.
Like gerriq, it's a bit annoying that stuff i did before joining the group isn't included, plus it's missed my achievement for joining the group. Maybe I'll have to join another aswell to get that.
My name is Jeremy btw, hello to you all.
|||
That's quite a target, best of luck in getting there. I have lost about 45pounds in a year doing this and other exercises.
I started with EASA one, then EASA more workouts and moved on to the Wiifit and WiiSports etc which are good aswell. The best one I have personally found is EA Grand Slam Tennis. It's very tough to begin with but you get the hang of it. That will burn around 500 calories in an hour if you really go for the strokes as you really would in a real game. It's in a totally different league to WiiSports Tennis and good fun when you beat Federer to win a Grand Slam lol.|||Hi again folks my name is Maxine i have been overweight since having my little girl who is 6yrs now so i thought it would be a good start to try sports active 2 i have had the sports active and more workouts and losed a little.but my goal is to lose about 70 pounds not sure how long it will take|||Hi there Maxine and welcome
I started with these interactive fitness programs over 2 years ago with the Wiifit. I lost over 36 pounds. I managed to keep it off for while but recently the pounds have been creeping back on. Hence Sports active 2, I want to first get my basic fitness level up then go for the 9 week program on hard!!
I haven't been able to update my stats online as yet because there is a known problem with some users connecting to the EA servers. That's a bit of a bugger but I have been training honest. Just completed day 4 today.
Keep it up guys

|||Hi btetsola thank you for the welcome.I have had this game since wednesday and so far burn 1805 calories .Iam loving it i have started the 3 wk kickstart but also doing other workouts how is everyone doing|||Hi folks
Just a quick update on how everyone is doing. Its pretty impressive at the moment, Maxine is on a roll which has left us all playing catchup. Let's see if we can push it a bit more this week, especially as its pretty darn cold.
Keep up the good work guys
B|||Will be doing another workout tonight before dinner. I'm really enjoying this so far. I think easy is too easy if you know what I mean, but I'd like to finish the kick start before embarking on 9 week prog on medium.|||Yes I know what you mean. I've upped my level to hard on the ole kick start because Medium felt a bit too easy. Give it try on Medium you'll be fine I'm sure.
I have also got a session scheduled for later, so I'll check to see how you get on
:)|||Yes I've noticed the same thing with the site updates. Its not updating properly.
Good to hear you are enjoying it
Any particular goals?|||Glad you are enjoying it Cammer50. I'm getting into it. I know now to exercise on an empty-ish stomach. I exercised after dinner last night and had to miss a couple of exercises as a) the monitor didn't register split lunges and b) I got tired far sooner than usual. Really disappointed in myself. No exercise scheduled in today, but tomorrow as they say, is another day!

Looking to join a Group
Hi.. I am a 65 yr old grandma who just lost 30 pounds. Have been exercising just about everyday but the weight just isn't coming off as fast. Need motivation. Can I join someones group. Thanks|||Hey, Im looking to join a group as well. I dont have have any friends to send me a group name or password. I would love to join someones group. Today was my first workout and I love it.|||I just started my own group because I don't know anyone either. I'm 49 (50 this summer) and looking to get back into better shape. The group is be_fit and the password is 2health. It would be great to have some support and motivation from others!

I would like to lose 10lbs and tone up using the 9 week program.
Let's do it together!!!|||I just finished the 3 week introduction to the EA Active 2 and plan on starting the 9 week program on Tuesday.
We have recently formed a weight loss group at my work with 4 of us, but I am the only one using the EA Active 2.
I would love to join your group and could use the extra motivation. My goal is to lose 11 pounds. Sweets are my weakness!
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hopefull we can fill the group up and get some good motivation going!|||Hi! I just joined the group ^^
I'm not really into loosing some weight right now (very difficult time at universe, it's practically impossible to eat right) but I really need to keep working out because of my hypothyroidism.
I hope to get along with you all and get some extra motivation
Happy workouts!

I guess I'll create my profile on the game when I get home from work today and will try joining the group then. Hope to see you all in the group soon! :) Diana|||Hello there! I just joined the group, although it probably would have been smarter to do that before I did this morning's workout. I actually worked out yesterday, too, so I guess I'll be a couple behind.
My goal is to tone and increase my stamina for my casual twice-a-week run. If I lose 10 pounds in the process, all the better!|||:) Hello to all!
I will join this group when I sign back on to the Wii... I hope that Wii, PS3, Xbox users can all join the same group.. I will find out I'm sure!
I have recently purchased the Active2 and have used it twice. I put it on easy the first time.. and the second time (this morning) I moved it to the next level.. and I think it was a bit more challenging! LOL!
Looking forward to shedding some of these pounds... Lord knows I have plenty to lose!
Together we'll get rid of this excess baggage! Once and FOR ALL!
G/L to all of you...|||I tried to join but it's telling me the password is incorrect. Any suggestions?|||I'm not sure if there are password problems. I'm having issues even getting the login screen to show up. I'm going to try when I get home from work. Hope you can get your problem worked out too! :) Diana|||
It will depend on the console - you'd have to join a group that all use the Wii i'm afraid :)
Um, when are we able to all play together? There is no option to play with other members. I must have missed something :)|||
Hmm I wish we could play together, it'd be really cool. But I didn't see anything talking about that either.|||Hello Everyone,
I'm excited to do my first workout tonight! I will let you know how it goes.
dfsmith - I'm not sure about the password problem you are having. If you are using the PS3 I don't think there should be an issue. You said that your login screen would dissapear? Could be a problem with your browser. Try using Firefox if you are on a PC. Let me know if that helps.

Let's Motivate Eachother! :o) Join My Group If You Want To Lose Weight.
Hey! Im Lubna, 21, from the UK. I would love like minded people with similiar goals to join my group.
Personally it's been a struggle to lose weight & get healthy. All my life my weights gone up down. I decided this is going to be the last time I let myself get this big.
I've recently started the 9 week programme on my Wii. This gives me the opportunity to get to know people who feel the same way and would like to be friends and motivate eachother.
So if you would like to join my group and share your story, please do!

PS3 EASA2 Group for Out-Of-Shape Musicians - The FatPluckrs
OK, just two simple rules:
1) Must be an out of shape musician with a PS3 and EASA2. Originally I had said only guitar players, but what the heck; any musicians who want in are fine with me (except digiridoo players. None of those are allowed). Why do I have these ridiculous rules in place? I have no idea.
2) As a group, we must lose a total of 250 pounds between the 12 of us between March 1 and September 1. Why? See rule number 1.
Group Name: FatPluckrs
Password: Cmaj7
I am a 50+ year old guitar player who still has some good chops, but unfortunately has eaten a few chops too many also, if you know what I'm talkin about. Thus the name "FunkTurtle". I'm 5'7" and just came in at a strapping 199. I don't like myself anymore. Or put another way, I'd like myself better if there were less of me.
So I have a lot of work to do. Just finished the first of my 9 weeks on Easy. Did I say Easy
? Actually, it's not bad so far; I almost wish I had opted for Medium, but our 17-year old son talked me out of it. He saw my heart rate spike to 165 and got this worried look on his face. I told him no worry. So for his sake we'll keep it on Easy.
I plan to be ---- correction, WILL be 169 pounds of fury on September 1 when our son goes off to college. That's 30 pounds worth of flub in around 6 months, which I think is realistic, but also pretty freakin awesome. And I WILL do it.
Biggest problem is that before my 2nd workout, I popped (separated) a rib. Needless to say, it is really painful to work out; borderline excruciating. But I'm not going to let it stop me. Pain or no pain, I'm getting this done.
Anyway, I could use a dose of the Big Mo. I'm not talking Morphine; I'm talking about MOTIVATION. I figure that trading notes with a bunch of people who I don't know can't possibly be as embarrassing as going to a gym with all my spare parts flopping around. The fact that we'd all be musicians might somehow add something different to it. Or not.
Thanks; please jump in and let's get this thing DONE! The FunkTurtle|||Wow, either there are no overweight musicians out there, or else they all ate themselves to death. From the looks of all the fat guitar players at the local Blues clubs around here, neither of those things can be true! So how bout we forget the whole "music" thing and relax the rules a little:
Rule 1) Must be from planet Earth.
Rule 2) Must have a pulse.

I plan to be ---- correction, WILL be 169 pounds of fury on September 1 when our son goes off to college. That's 30 pounds worth of flub in around 6 months, which I think is realistic, but also pretty freakin awesome. And I WILL do it.

Wii: New Group to Shed Those Pounds!
Hi!
This group is to help motivate each other into losing that unwanted weight. Whether its just 5 lbs or 50lbs, we could all use some motivation. Doesn't matter age or location, in the end we all have the same goals to lose weight.
Group: FatBeGone2
Password: motivate|||I joined the group today and I am looking forward to shedding the pounds as a group.|||I am new to EA Sports Active, I would love to join this group, do I have to do it through my Wii or can I do it through the computer? I have been on the South Beach diet and lost 30 lbs, I reached a plateau and I have kickstarted it again going back on to phase one and recently purchased this game a few days ago to add in my exercise. Looking to lose another 30 or 40 lbs to get to my goal weight and need a group to help me along as well as help others!
|||Hi Tinker!
Welcome! Yes you can join the group via Wii on the homescreen or through EASportsActive.com. I know how you feel reaching that darn plateau. Congrats on losing 30 lbs with the South Beach diet!! I too need to lose 30 lbs. My story is that I lose 5-10 lbs, reach a plateau, get frustrated, and then regain the weight. Terrible cycle.
So here's to kicking those plateaus in the butt!
@mpenner, welcome to the group as well! :)

Men2Motiv8 - Join my group
I am loving Active 2 for Wii!
Bought the Wii for my kids for holidays... Who knew how great it was and that it possibly could change MY life!
I am on my second week now... Active 2 is like now having my own personal trainer living in my house. Got up at 5:00 AM to workout today... this is so not me. Feeling great and alive!
I have always been in pretty good shape, enjoyed running and lifted weights... but pressures of life got the best of me... and I now find myself about 50 - 60 lbs overweight. Something tells me that this Active 2 for Wii, plus the online community will give me the motivation I have been needing to make a significant lifestyle change and take this excess weight off.
I created this group 'Men2Motiv8', and am hoping to find other guys like me who are looking to make a significant change in their lives, lose weight, and help in motivating each other to stick with the program. I also hope that members will post comments, suggestions, ideas, feelings, and even jokes, so that we may help each other reach our goals together. My wish is that the group will consist of much more than just an avatar and a login name... I am looking for real people who are willing to share and contribute. If you feel this is you, please join the group.
Good Luck to All!
Paul

New Wii group losing 10 and 40 lbs by May 2011
This group is for motivated people who are committed to working out with EA Active at least 3 - 4 days a week. We are going to post stats weekly. We can also possibly to a biggest loser contest.
I'm 5'2", 172.2 lbs and looking to lose weight (first goal 10 - 15 lbs) and get fit by May 2011. I'm committed and looking for others who are committed that way we can motivate each other.
I purchased Wii EA Active 2, on Mon Jan 10. i tried it out on Monday and Tuesday and loved it. I mainly focused on the step program the past two days and they wore me out. I'm ready to begin my journey and would like to help motivate others. I'm starting the 9 week program today. If you want to join feel free.
group name: fitby0511
password: fitin2011|||Hello,
I joined this group and I am super excited about the motivation and support. I am 5.5 1/2 and almost 170 pounds...only 8 pounds shy of my heaviest with my second child :) My goal weight is 125 - 130 so I have 40 pounds to drop and I hope that this group helps me reach my goal!
I also started weight watchers online on Monday to help with my eating habits. I started my first work out yesterday - 9 week - moderate - and will do the second one tomorrow. I am having trouble with my workout posting to group page and reading some movements but over all I am happy and can't wait to see results and get to know the members of this group!
|||Hello,
I would like to join this group to keep motivated. I am 5'3 currently 157 pounds. I got EA sports active for Christmas and started the program on Jan 3rd. So far I have lost 2 pounds. I would like to get down to between 122-128 so i have about 30 pounds to lose. I would like to lose the weight by May since I will be graduating from law school then. Currently I have completed 6 workouts. I normally weigh myself on Sunday or Monday so I look forwarding to checking in and seeing how much progress everyone is making!|||Welcome all,
Thanks for joining the group.
It's kind of hard navigating through all of the threads on the forum to find this one. So I am going to create a new thread so that we can post our weekly stats. Tell us a little bit about what you did for the week and if you lost weight let us know how you did it so that we can adjust ourselves accordingly.
The new thread to post our stats is called: fitby0511 stats page. If you do a search on this term it should come up.
On this page we will post our stats on Friday's or Mondays.

I would like to lose another 10 pounds by mid 2011. Besides Wii Active 2, I also hula hoop every day for 30 minutes and work out on the eliptical 3 times a week.|||welcome schnoodle28. We're just starting.
I have to get to that point of regularly exercising 3 times a week at the gym. With the snow and all, I get off of work and go home, and just do the Wii for now. Have Fun with the group!|||Hi eboniee
Thanks, I am anxious to get started and it's always good to have a support group. The only reason I can go to the gym three times a week is that I am not working at this time. But even when i was working, I at least did my hula hoop for 30 minutes a day. It just makes me feel better when I take the time to work out.|||Hello, I am currently 112 kg and starting a health kick. Apart from biking and sailing I bought the game today.
How do I join the group?.
Cheers,
Stuart|||what platform are you guys using... wii?|||Hi there: I'm using the wii, but without the balance board. How about you?|||sorry, just saw noticed it IS wii platform....
uhm where to start..... I'm 31, from Texas, and need to desperately lose the 20 lbs I've gained in the past 2 years. I currently weight 170 lbs (my all time high!!) and need to go back my normal weight (150 lbs). So far I'm 3 days into the Cardio Kickstart on the Hard intensity. I totally recommend the Mountain Climber workout on Easy. It's pretty intense! I've started a 1200 calorie diet and hoping that it will make a difference. I love to workout but food is my all time weakness. :) Wish me luck!
Good luck to everyone and please let me know of any really good workouts on this program. I'm still pretty new to it all.
Daisy :)|||Hey folks!
I'm pretty thrilled with myself right now. This is the first time I've worked out in an unfortunate amount of time.
As a stay at home (and work from home) mother of a two year old, I'm lucky if I have time to use the bathroom in peace. I still have a little fleck of toenail polish on each big toe from my last pedicure in August!
But I got Active (the first one) last year and played around with it a bit. Tonight, I thought I'd give it a whirl to try the exercises with my daughter. She had a blast! She really liked dancing around to the music, and repeated all the "cheer words" from my trainer. (Which made me feel pretty fantastic!) Making this something I can do with my daughter instead of sneaking it in when she's asleep is much more doable! Hooray!
Stats... Ah. Not something I'm too thrilled about. I weigh 215 pounds. My goal right now is to weigh... less. I want to weigh so much less that the numbers are just intimidating. So I'm just going to say that I'd like to be down five pounds by the end of the month. Smaller goals means more successes, right?
I hope my differences from the rest of the group don't keep me out of the club (different version of Active, more to love (and lose!), etc.) This is a perfect start date for my new fitness goals!|||Hi, I'm new to the group as well. JuliQ, don't despair, I'm up there with you. I'm 42 yrs old, 5'8 and I currently weigh a jaw dropping 210 lbs. This is the largest I've ever been, and I'm NOT HAPPY!!! I've gained about 50-60lbs in the last three years, a combination of losing a job and staying home for 1 year, stopping any kind of regular exercise and my eating habits deteriorating significantly. I'm determined to get down to 150 lbs which is where I really belong, although I'm afraid that at my age I'll have to cut off a limb or two to get there. If I can lose 10-15lbs by May I'll be happy.
My son got me the Active 2 for Christmas and I've been working out for two weeks now. I don't do any other regular exercise other than walking, but I try to walk between 4-5 miles per day. I'm currently on day 3 of the Cardio workout at Medium and I'm planning on moving on to the 9 week workout at medium after that.
|||Welcome everyone!
Has the new thread started...because I have searched for it and can't find it....
|||Just got the Wii Active Sports 2 kit. Did one workout and loved it. I'm 5'2 and 188 lbs
heaviest I've ever been with the birth of my 2nd child. I was 200lbs when he was born and dropped to 170lbs after the first 8 weeks (thanks for breastfeeding)
Breastfeeding is all done and I've slowly gone back to 188lbs and I REFUSE to be fat. I will be happy at 140lbs so I have almost 50lbs to lose.
Hoping joining this group will help keep me motivated. It's tough!! But I'm committed

|||Welcome everyone!
Has the new thread started...because I have searched for it and can't find it....
|||Just got the Wii Active Sports 2 kit. Did one workout and loved it. I'm 5'2 and 188 lbs

Breastfeeding is all done and I've slowly gone back to 188lbs and I REFUSE to be fat. I will be happy at 140lbs so I have almost 50lbs to lose.
Hoping joining this group will help keep me motivated. It's tough!! But I'm committed
PS3 Group Evening Sessions
I just got EA Sports Active Today and allready did my first workout and wow, I am amazed. About me, I'm 23 Male 6'2 225lbs. I used to be super fit till I had destroyed my knee and quit sports. I plan to lose at least 30-40 pounds. I work everyday so evening is my best time. I am central time zone so if you are as well...this is the group for you.

Connecting Heartbeat Controller to Xbox 360 Slim
Hi,
I bought Active 2 for Kinect XBOX 360 Slim but while following all instructions I still cannot see my BPM on the screen. I pressed connection button on that HW than green cycle started running and after while green light bumping but still cannot see BPM on the screen. in the instruction it is said that I need to push button on the console itself, but front pane of my console does not include any. Please note that my wireless controller works without any problems. Any advice or help? Thanks? What can I do to connect heartbeat controller properly?
Thanks,
Ivan|||Hi Ivan,
You need to press the sync button on your console. On the slim console, it's the square finger-sized button, just below and to the right of the silver power button. It has a ))) symbol on it. Press that and the ))) button on the heart monitor and it will sync.
PS: You posted this in the wrong forum catgeory btw. :o)

I wish there was a better way to communicate.... I can still try to expand the group if needed. I've been doing good reaching my goals lately! Hope everyone one else is also!!|||Hey Rollin, and everyone. I agree there needs to be an ezr way to communicate. I just wanted to congratulate everyone in the group. I have been looking at the group feed and most of us are working out on a regular basis! I always see You, Angry Irishman, and Sy1vain in the feed on my workout days. I hope everyone else is having success and sticking to it.|||I too have tried to join, but the group is full, can you increase?
I am a 31 year old diabetic father of 2 (and watch my girlfriend’s 2), with a 35lb goal. I just started the 9 week course, just to get used to exercising. I have a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (10am ish) schedule.
I am using myfitnesspal.com as well as ea.com to help track calorie intake and burning, but having others to help keep the motivation level up would be great. I was unsure of joining a group, but today when doing the day 1 workout, and had to skip step aerobics :) I figured I am gonna need some help staying on track.
Xbox gamertag is “Kirbee” and the Xbox is almost always on, so send me a message via the forum, Xbox live mail, or ea.com mail and let me know when/if you are going to increase the group size.
